Stone Bros Hockey Staff

The Directors and Professional Teaching Staff are dedicated to applying age appropriate skill development techniques designed to make the game of hockey more fun.  If a player is learning the correct mechanics and fundamentals, it makes the game that much more rewarding.

SBH Directors

Kevin Stone

After Div I Prep School (Suffield Academy) and Div II College (Assumption College), Kevin has coached 5 years in the Metro Boston Hockey League, and has coached the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs to State & New England Regional Finals.  For the past 4 years, Kevin has coached High School & Junior-bound players for the PHD Junior Elites and for the past 9 years has instructed Elite Level skills sessions and clinics both privately as well as for select level hockey clubs throughout Eastern Mass & Southern NH.

Paul Stone

After Div I High School (Enfield High School) and Div II College (Southern New Hampshire University), Paul has coached 11 years in High School Hockey.  Starting in 1995 with South Windsor HS, he coached them to a Div II State Championship in ’96.  He then moved onto Conard High School then ultimately to Xavier High School for the 2004-2006 seasons.  During the 11 years, Paul has also instructed Elite Level skills sessions and clinics in the New England area for youth, high school, and college level players.

Russ Stone

After Div I High School (Enfield High School), Div. I Prep School (Avon Old Farms) and Div III College (Connecticut College), Russ has instructed both Instructional and Elite Level skills sessions and clinics in the New England area.   

Bill Stone, Jr.

Div I Prep School, Div II College (University of Lowell), Hartford Jr Whalers.  Marketing Consultant for SBH

Scott Zygulski

US National Team Recruit, Boston College 4 year player as a defenseman and drafted to the Detroit Red Wings organization. Scott has been teaching defensive skills to all age groups for the past 6 years.

Derek Wahl

After Div I High School (Enfield High School), Derek played at Worcester State College (NCAA Div. III).  Team Captain for 2 seasons and selected to both the ECAC North Conference and MASCAC all conference teams.

Today, Derek serves as the USA Hockey Officiating Program Seminar Coordinator for the State of Connecticut.  Registered Level 4 Official with USA Hockey.  Holds a "B" License (Linesman) from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).  Currently on staff as Linesman with the American Hockey League and as a Referee with the ECAC and Atlantic Hockey Leagues (NCAA Division I).  Selected to officiate in the NCAA Women's Div. III Championship (2002), NCAA Men's Div. III Championship (2003) and the NCAA Div. I Championship (2006).
